on September 2, 2021

We are sure you have heard about core stability, correct? However, what really is this ’buzz term?’

Doing a few sit ups, wrong! Let us explain more…

What Is Core Stability?

Core stability is the ability of the abdominal and back muscles to keep the body upright and maintain a stable spine.

Core stability is important for everyone. It contributes to strength, mobility, balance, and injury prevention.

Achieving core stability involves a combination of muscle strength, muscle endurance, posture awareness, and breathing techniques that are called core stabilization exercises.

Why Do We Need Core Stability?

Our core stability affects how we perform in all kinds of situations and sports. It is a difficult thing to train for as it takes time, discipline, and dedication.

Core stability is essential for good health and wellbeing. It helps us with everyday activities such as sitting or standing for long periods of time or doing exercises like running or lifting weights.

The core muscles are the abdominal muscles, back muscles, pelvic stabilizers and low back muscles. They work together to create a strong body frame that provides support to the spine and pelvis while maintaining the alignment of your body in space.

How To Improve Core Stability?

Core stability is a must for all fitness enthusiasts, which helps in improving the stability of the spine.

We can improve core strength by performing core exercises on a regular basis.

However, some of these exercises are better than others! So in this video, Jon expands on core stability and discusses some of the exercises you should not do and the ones you should!
